I desire to see the Hinsdale County Sheriff's Office become an organization that serves the community with Justice, Compassion, and Humility, as we all work together to PRESERVE and PROTECT our values, liberties, and way of life.

(Colorado Revised Statutes 30-10-516)
The United States Constitution, Colorado Constitution and Bill of Rights all serve as both foundation and guide for how a Sheriff's Office is to engage with the community. As the statutory responsibility of the Sheriff and his deputies is preservation of the peace, this is within the context of each person pursuing their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
In a time when our small community often feels as though we do not have a voice, and life can often feel unsettling, it is vital that the sheriff is working on behalf of the community to safeguard their liberties and be actively engaged in both local and state issues that impact us all in this county we call home. The Sheriff's Office cannot be successful without the voice and input of those the sheriff is sworn to serve, protect and represent.
I appreciate your consideration as you vote this next November. I am excited at the opportunity to serve you and this community as your next elected sheriff.
